Said bin Jubair died killed by Hajaj bin Yusuf ats-Tsaqafi. The governor of Mecca, Medina, Thaif and Iraq. He is known as a cruel ruler, killing many scholars and Muslims. It was he who killed Abdullah bin Zubair Radhiyallahu 'anhu, the grandson of Abu Bakr as-Siddiq Radhiyallahu' anhu.
Said bin Jubair, was once a state fugitive with Abdurrahman Ibnul Asy'ats. After Ibn al-Ash'at was arrested, Said fled to Asfahan. When his escape was known, he moved to Mecca. Once known to his existence, he did not move. "By Allah, I am ashamed of God, where I must flee, and there is no place to escape from the taqdir of Allah."
After the troops surrounded his house Said, they knocked on the door loudly. After Said opened the door, and watched their faces, he said,
"We pass on to God, and He is the best place to depend on. What do you want? "
"Hajjaj wants to meet you now." They replied.
"Wait a minute." She showered, put on perfume, hair oil, and put on her shroud. Then out of the house while praying,
O God, The ingredient of an unbeatable shelter. The Owner of strength, no one is able to reach it.
Said met Hajjaj in a very angry state, he delivered his greetings,
Salvation for those who follow the path of instruction.
This is the greeting of Moses to Pharaoh.
"What's your name?" Hajjaj asked.
"Said bin Jubair."
"Wrong, you Syaqy bin Kasir. (The wretched man of bin perish). "Tukas Hajjaj.
"My mother knows best about my name."
"You are wretched, your mother is wretched," said Hajjaj.
"The matter of unseen (woe in the afterlife), only God knows." Said replied.
"What do you think of Muhammad?" Asked Hajjaj.
"Nabiyul Huda, Imamul Rahmah (Prophet of Guidance, Leader of Compassion)."
"What do you think of Ali?" Asked Hajjaj.
"He has gone to God, the priest of Huda (the dreamer of righteousness)."
"Then what do you think of me?" Asked Hajjaj.
"The tyrant, who will meet God with the blood of the Muslims."
"Bring gold and silver." Pinta Hajjaj.
The troops came with two gold and silver buckets and poured directly in front of Said.
"What the hell is this, Hajjaj? If you are going to give up this thing in order to redeem God's judgment, it is a good deed for you. If this is the treasure that you have taken from the poor in an arrogant way, by Allah, the Day of Resurrection is more frightening. "
"Bring a musical instrument and a singing girl." Pinta Hajjaj.
The instrument was played in the girl while singing. Saidpun cried to wet his beard.
"What is wrong with you? You touched. "
"No. But I see this girl being forced to do something that is not the purpose she was created. "
"Why do not you laugh like us?" Asked Hajjaj.
"Because our hearts are different and not the same."
"I will turn this dinar into a blazing fire," said Hajjaj.
"If you can, you do not worship." Tukas Said.
"I'll kill you, in a way I never did to anyone else. Please choose, what way do you want? "Threatened Hajjaj.
"Instead, you choose what you want. By Allah, whatever way you use to kill me, surely Allah will reward him in the same way on the Day of Resurrection. "Threatened back Said.
"Kill him !!" orders Hajjaj.
Then Said faces Qiblah while reading the word of God,
"I confront my face with the Essence which created the heavens and the earth with submission. And I am not of the polytheists. "(Surat al-An'am: 79).
"Put him on the other side of the Qibla." Hajjaj's command.
Said read the word of God,
Wherever you are, there is the face of God. (Surah Al-Baqarah: 79).
"Put him on the ground." Hajjaj's order.
Said smiled and read the word of God,
From the land We created you, to the land We give you back, and from the land We raise you up for the second time. (Sura Thaha: 55).
